Welcome to MATH 1376, Calculus for Business and Economics II. My name is Dr. Cyrus Malek and I am located at the Spring Creek Campus. My office is J226, located on the second floor behind the Testing Center and the Math Lab. The best way to reach me is by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. I can also be reached by phone at 972-881-5181. Please do not hesitate to contact me for assistance or clarification; I am happy to help.
I respond to all emails within 24 hours during the school week, Monday through Friday. If this is the first course you are taking online, I highly recommend that you attend an orientation session offered by our Online Student Support Center. You can register for one HERE. These are offered online.
Specific information regarding the course may be found in the Faculty Syllabus and Academic Calendar for this course. Please carefully read the syllabus, and print a hard copy of it, as ALL information regarding the course may be found in this document.
All information about his course is on the CANVAS. This is basically an online environment which allows us to interact with each other and allows you to easily stay on top of your due dates and assignments. It may take you a few hours to get the hang of it, but I think you will find it to be very helpful.
All you Homework and exms will be on MyMathlab software by Pearson.
As you take this course and you learn that you need to know more about how to perform certain tasks, such as posting a discussion or submitting an assignment, the Online Student Support Center has tutorials to help you. Go HERE to access them.
An important thing to remember about online courses is that they are not self-paced. Students must work through each week’s assignments and submit work by the specified due dates.
Best of luck throughout the semester! I am really looking forward to getting to know you over the next few months.
