Summary:
With a huge number of products sold, packing industry represents a significant portion of the economy. The cost of the packaging becomes an important factor in the total cost especially in the consumer products where millions are made and sold. An ideal package will hold the desired amount of product at a minimum cost. This project analyzes several basic packaging shapes and determines their optimal sizes under a specified volume constraint.
